Owen: Month 4

So you know how last month I said “one of these days I’ll be on time for Owen’s monthly post”? Yeah that’s not today πŸ˜› I guess I may just need to resign myself to posting two weeks after his new month *eye roll* such is life huh? πŸ˜‚

Lot’s of new this month! Owen is starting to scoot around just a little (and I’m fine with it staying a little for a while πŸ˜‰ ). He can also sit up for 2-3 minutes at a time by himself. He recently has started sitting up from laying down occasionally (he needs just a very slight incline to accomplish it), but so far he usually just falls over as soon as he accomplishes that πŸ˜‚.Β  He is still teething away, chewing on everything, but we are making progress (I can feel the tooth at this point so hopefully it’s getting close!). In other new news his new trick is pinching…which isn’t really fun for anyone but him πŸ˜› . That boy has a grip like no other, and William hollering “Mom Owen is pinching” is a pretty commonplace phrase around here right now.Β

As for an update on the hemangioma so far everything is going really well. His heart scan came back all clear, and he has been on his more aggressive treatment for almost 4 weeks now. We have seen some reduction in the size which is great because at this point just not experiencing any growth is a win! He does go in for an MRI, and MRA next week, and will have a visit with a pediatric ophthalmologist at the end of the month. Outside of his testing we get to move to monthly appointments (we have been going weekly), so that is going to be a huge relief for our schedule (and gas budget πŸ˜› )Β

I did have a chance to take a few photos of the boys together this month (there’s not many, because neither one was having it…but this mama still thinks they are pretty precious πŸ˜› )

We also had the opportunity to have our family photos taken a few days ago, so I’ll be sharing those soon (I’m super excited to get them back!)Β

  • Oh man. What a little cutie! I miss that age where taking their photos was so easy because they couldn’t crawl or walk yet! My daughter just turned one and I’m so glad I don’t have to take anymore β€œmilestone” photos!

    • Yes it is certainly easier! I remember thinking it was really hard to get William’s photos once he started walking…now that he’s two I’m longing for the days where I could at least keep up with him πŸ˜‚ Each stage really is so special though πŸ™‚
